Tecno — Il design italiano per l'ufficio e il contract

Tecno — Italian design for office and contract

History and Foundation

Tecno was founded in Milan in 1953 by brothers Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani, sons of Gaetano Borsani, a historic cabinetmaker from Brianza. While Osvaldo was the creative genius, Fulgenzio was the entrepreneurial spirit: together, they transformed the family's artisanal legacy into one of the most innovative design companies of post-war Italy.

The Philosophy of Technical Design

The name Tecno is not accidental: the company was born with an explicitly technical vocation, oriented towards the search for advanced design solutions for office furniture and contract work. Tecno introduced the concept of modular and flexible furnishing systems to Italy, anticipating the needs of modern workspaces.

Iconic Pieces

Among Tecno's most celebrated products is the P126 executive armchair, designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1966. A piece that perfectly embodies the company's philosophy: ergonomics, construction quality, and a sober and elegant aesthetic, suitable for the most demanding executive environments.

Major Commissions and International Recognition

Tecno quickly established itself as a reference supplier for major institutional and corporate commissions in Italy and abroad. Its furnishing systems were chosen for company headquarters, public institutions, and representative environments, consolidating the brand's international reputation.

The Legacy of Tecno

Tecno pieces from the 1960s and 1970s, particularly the executive seating and modular systems designed by Osvaldo Borsani, are highly valued today by collectors of Italian design. Their construction quality makes them objects designed to last over time, both aesthetically and functionally.

In our store, you will find authentic Tecno pieces, testimonies to an extraordinary era of Italian office design.
