The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. The Doué Classique Rollerball with a gold-finish metal cap and anthracite dégradé lacquer barrel draws inspiration from the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. In this second adventurous leg, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a cartouche on the cap. The gold-finish metal cap features an engraved pattern symbolizing good fortune. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds, and the cone features an engraving of a pattern and card suits, representing Fogg’s gamble to complete the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap features an embossing of the journey duration, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.
