Osvaldo Borsani (1911–1985) è una delle figure più poliedriche e visionarie del design italiano del Novecento. Figlio d'arte, cresce immerso nella cultura artigianale della Brianza. Laureato in architettura al Politecnico di Milano nel 1937, sviluppa con la bottega di famiglia ABV (Arredamenti Borsani Varedo) mobili di lusso sobrio in essenze rare e ottone. Nel 1953 fonda Tecno con il fratello Fulgenzio, portando il design di qualità alla produzione seriale: nascono la Poltrona P40 (1954), il Divano D70 (1954) e la Poltrona direzionale P126 (1966). I suoi pezzi sono nelle collezioni permanenti del MoMA di New York e del Triennale Design Museum di Milano.
